The Port of Spain Wholesale Fish Market is the main market for the wholesaling of fish in Trinidad and Tobago. A variety of fishes are transported to this market by boat from the North and South coasts of the country and the waters of the Gulf of Paria. They also come via land transportation from southern ports, namely, Erin, Cedros, Icacos and the eastern port of Mayaro. The price of fish at this facility influences the price of fish traded at other markets around the country.
